Hat campany: Different Type of Headwear

Keep your cool during the summertime by wearing one of our customized hats! Custom hats are a very popular and in-demand customized items in the summer. It’s a great way to rep your sports teams, a company during a charity event, and so much more. One of the first things a company looks into when purchasing a customized hat is the style. There are numerous options that you can choose from much as what kind of profile you would like, how many panels, and if you want it to be structured or unstructured. To help you with your decision, here is a little introduction to the different types of headwear:

Low Profile
If you’re looking for a more relaxed fit, then we suggest looking for a low-profile hat! Associated with a sport or golf style hat, a low profile means that the has a less steep slant to the front of the hat and has an unstructured crown (the part of the cap that sits on your forehead, or where the you can have your team logo embroidered).  Low profile hats fit lower on your head, making it more of a relaxed fit than the other types of profiles.

Mid Profile
The mid-profile hat is associated with what baseball players would wear. This type of hat has a crown an inch or 2 taller than a low profile hat, giving it more of a deeper fit. The wearer can wear the hat lower on the head, as there is more material and room because of the higher crown.
If you’re planning on joining a sports team and are in need of hats, this type of styles is perfect! We offer an array of mid-profile hats that can be embroidered or imprinted.

High Profile

Synonymous for a “trucker” style hat, the high profile hat is made with a straight up slant to the front of the hat. These stylish hats are the perfect hat to wear when doing charity events with your company! They’re fashionable, lightweight, and can be customized to include your company’s name or logo right in the front.

5 Panel

This is the single panel of fabric which is folded to match the shape of the rest of the cap, leaving a small line of stitching to the top of the cap. These caps are great for large printed logos or small detailed embroidered designs.

6 Panel

The difference between the 5 and 6 panel is that the 6 panel hats have a seam coming down from the crown to the bill. the extra panel created from the stem gives a more rounded finish to the cap and a cleaner look to the front of the cap.

Structured

The structured caps are reinforced in the front part segments of the hat. The two front panels of the hat are supported by a stiffer fabric called the “Buckram”  which helps to maintain the shape of the hat. Typically all “fitted” hats are structured and round out a bit in front to provide more space.

Adjustable

Adjustable hats have the ability to be adjusted to fit anyone’s head. They’re usually made “One Size Fits All”, but have different types of closure systems such as plastic snaps, buckles and more.
